LameYear is a worm, which spreads through infected executable files. Once executed, the parasite secretly installs itself to the system and starts searching local hard disks for executable files. It creates infected copies of found files using their names, so that malicious files are being run every time the user launches a particular application. LameYear automatically runs on every Windows startup. It is able to restore its files and registry keys.
