LinkMaker is an illegal advertising program, which redirects a web browser to a predefined commercial web site. It also downloads and installs third-party adware applications. LinkMaker doesn't spread and must be manually installed. It may get into the system along with some ad-supported software. Once executed, the parasite drops its files into the system directory (C:\Windows\System, C:\Windows\System32 or C:\Winnt\System32) and modifies the registry, so it could run on every Internet Explorer startup. LinkMaker comes with the uninstaller.
