Remove LmBO 1.20. Removal instructions
Severity scale: (57 / 100)
A Remote Administration Tool is a special kind of hacker spyware, used for remote access and control of other people's computers. The attacker infects the PC via the e-mail or File and Print Sharing. A "server" allows him to connect via a "client" on his own machine. The functions of a RAT may vary, depending on the needs of the hacker. Some RATs can't really harm your PC and the only purpose they were made for is hooliganism. But some versions can steal vital information, delete files and even crash your system. It creates a "backdoor" in the security system of the victim, allowing the intruder to connect completely unnoticed. LmBO 1.20 is a very dangerous pest. You can also find it in the internet under such names as Back Orifice. It originated in July 1999. This pest was created by a group called Cult of the Dead Cow.
From the publisher:
"Back Orifice is a client/server application which allows the client software to monitor, administer, and perform other network and multimedia actions on the machine running the server."
