Luxe Codec XP is a bogus audio and video codec. Usually, it is installed automatically and without user's knowledge through the use of Trojans. Or it can be mistakenly downloaded from various untrusted websites too. Basically, Luxe Codec XP is very similar to WinCoDecPRO - fake application, pretending to be Windows multimedia coder/decoder.

Once installed, LuxeCodec XP displays fake notifications about codec errors and redirects the infected user to LuxeCodecXP website. The main aim of this unwanted application is to convince the user into purchasing Luxe Codec XP. However, the best option in such a situation is actually opposite. You must remove Luxe Codec XP from the system as soon as possible, otherwise it may cause even more damage.
