Malware Catcher is another fake anti-spyware application from the same family as Virus Melt and Virus Sweeper. This parasite is categorized as a rogue application because it is advertised on various malicious websites and through the use of Trojans. When these Trojans are installed on user's computer they display fake security alerts or similar notifications stating that user's PC is seriously infected. When user clicks on these alerts it will automatically download and install Malware Catcher onto his computer.

Once installed, MalwareCatcher is configured to start automatically when computer loads. Then the rogue performs fake system scan and lists numerous infections that won't be removed until user purchases the program. Malware Catcher will also display many security alerts and warnings when user performs certain actions on his computer. This parasite may also decrease system performance and overall speed dramatically or even download additional malware.
