ManageDNS404.com is browser hijacker dedicated to promoting fake security tools. It occupies web browser and redirects people to managedns404.com instead of all other websites. ManageDNS404 is annoying, but it might be taken as normal thing because it loads falsified “The page cannot be displayed”/”404” page.

Managedns404.com appears as regular browser error page, but it is slightly different from the real 404 error. ManageDNS404.com claims that URL can’t be accessed because of malwares on board victim’s computer; and then it offers downloading AntiSpyware Shield for fixing the problem. This recommendation is fraudulent, because ManageDNS404.com is the only infection and AntiSpyware Shield is not a security tool. Those who decide to download Anti Spyware Shield, receive "W32.Myzor.FK@yf has infected your PC" system tray alerts and popups that urge to pay for using AntiSpywareShield while it does absolutely nothing.

ManageDNS404.com hijacker sometimes promotes Abebot, IEDefender and other fake security tools as well.
