MenaceRescue is a rogue anti-spyware program. The most common ways of infection are through Trojans or manual download and installation. When active, this program generates popups and fake system notifications "informing" the user of threats on the system. This is backed-up by a system scan, which produces a falsified report. MenaceRescue uses there tactics to intimidate the user into buying the fake full version.
