MetaDirect modifies essential system and, sometimes, browser settings without asking for user permission, so the adware could start automatically on every Windows startup and work hidden in background. MetaDirect doesn't compromise system security, but obstructs usual web surfing and may violate user privacy by tracking his Internet activity.
