Mixor.c is an Internet worm that spreads by e-mail through messages with infected attachments. Once the user executes such an attachment, the parasite secretly installs itself to the system and runs a spreading routine. Mixor.c sends bogus e-mails to all the addresses it finds in the Windows Address Book. It also copies itself to accessible network drives and all local folders. Then it runs a payload. The worm infects all executable files and screensavers. It also adds itself to all RAR archives it finds. Mixor.c terminates running antiviruses, firewalls, system utilities and other security-related software. It also disables the Windows Firewall. The worm automatically runs on every Windows startup.
