nCase, also known as n-Case, is a prevalent adware program that displays unexpected pop-up advertisements based on certain keywords found in opened web pages. It tracks user Internet activity and may collect user identity details including e-mail addresses, real name and ZIP code. Gathered data is transferred to a predetermined web server. nCase can update itself via the Internet, download and execute arbitrary code. The threat may degrade overall web browser performance. nCase is bundled with many ad-supported products such as various file sharing programs. It can also be installed by some parasites or may get into the system while visiting some advertising web sites. nCase automatically runs on every Windows startup.
