What should you know about New.searchopa.com virus?

New.searchopa.com is a disturbing search tool, which is related to New.searchopa.com browser hijacker. If this browser hijacker gets inside victim’s computer system, it affects all web browsers and changes homepage, new tab and default search settings in each of them. It does not matter if you prefer using Google Chrome, Safari, IE, or Mozilla Firefox, this browser hijacker can affect them all. Typically, it adds a browser extension, which prevents the computer user from changing these settings.

New.searchopa.com hijacker is also known as New.searchopa.com redirect virus, and there is a reason why security experts call it like that. The website that it sets as default homepage and new tab page provides a vague web search engine, which is highly suspicious. This search engine is presented as a Google Custom Search, and that means it provides modified Google search results. It was noticed that these search results do not open corresponding web pages when users click on them. Fortunately, it can be explained rather easily. This shady browser hijacker initiates these New.searchopa.com redirects to promote certain websites and generate pay-per-click revenue.

New.searchopa.com virus sends annoying ads and provides sponsored search results

If you are a security-minded PC user, you should stop using New.searchopa.com search engine immediately. The web redirects that it initiates can lead you to all sorts of Internet sites, and while some of the redirects can lead you to trustworthy sites, others can force you to visit hazardous websites, which might even offer you to install malicious programs (for free!). If you would like to bypass such sites, remove New.searchopa.com redirect virus from your system without a delay. New.searchopa.com removal can be done either manually or automatically. To uninstall it automatically, run a system scan with Reimage or another reputable anti-spyware software and wait until it detects and removes all hazardous programs from your computer. However, if you do not want to opt for the automatic removal option, navigate to page 2 and use instructions that we provide.

How did it hijack your computer without your knowledge?

Most of the time, PUPs such as New.searchopa.com hijack computer systems silently. Commonly, they spread in conjunction with free software, so if you do not want to install PUPs accidentally, you must be careful when installing any kind of software on your computer. Unfortunately, many PC users still believe that Default or Standard installation settings are trustworthy. Vice versa – these settings are very unreliable since they usually conceal various additional software that is added to your download. Therefore, we recommend you to select Advanced or Custom settings while installing your selected software to get a chance to look at these optional applications and to refuse to install them.

How to remove New.searchopa.com browser hijacker and change the homepage?

If New.searchopa.com virus has changed your homepage without your permission, do not ignore it and make sure it does not remain on your computer system for any longer. This program can only cause you problems, annoy you, and slow your computer down. Luckily, it is easy to solve all these problems at once. If you would like to remove it manually, we strongly recommend you to take a look at New.searchopa.com removal guide first. You can find this removal guide below this article.

If you would rather remove it automatically, choose a good anti-malware software and remove New.searchopa.com with it. Keep in mind that anti-malware software needs to be regularly updated to remain efficient and able to defend your PC from the latest computer threats.
