Worm Niklas spreads in the Internet via file-sharing networks. It installs itself to the system and places infected files on a hard disk. It infects executables found in shared directories of peer-to-peer clients and Internet messengers. The worm terminates running antivirus and security-related programs processes and modifies system settings. It attempts to disable all found antiviruses, firewalls and other software.
