Oople. How to remove? (Uninstall guide)

removal by Linas Kiguolis - -   Also known as Oople Toolbar, Oople Search | Type: Adware

Oople is a potentially unwanted application, which causes browser's redirections to malicious websites. In most of the cases, it enters the PC in a form of Toolbar and shows up on all Internet browsers, including IE, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome and others. Besides, this program may also change the start page, default search engine and other settings to Oople Search, search.conduit.com and other sites without any permission asked. Search.conduit has already been discussed on all security forums that can be found on the Internet for its altered search results and continuous redirections to unknown sites. If you have also noticed these changes on your computer, you should remove Oople without any delay. Don't forget to fix each of your browsers as well.

Oople is promoted via its official website. This way is legitimate and can hardly be discussed. However, there are many PC users who report about discovering this application on their computers out of nowhere. In reality, they have downloaded Oople in a bundle with freeware and shareware. If you want to prevent its infiltration, uncheck all unfamiliar entries that show up on installation windows of the freeware. As soon as Oople Toolbar enters the system, it modifies several PC's settings: it may change your browser homepage and default search engine to unknown search sites and initiate other changes. If you want to prevent them, you should get rid of Oople.

If you haven't installed Oople on your computer manually, you should eliminate it from it. For that, follow these steps:

First of all, run a full system scan with updated anti-spyware, such as Reimage or other reputable software.

In addition, remove malicious entries from Add/Remove Programs list. For that follow these steps:

  1. Click Start -> Control Panel -> Programs (or Add/Remove Programs) -> Uninstall a Program.
  2. Here, look for Oople and similar entries and select 'Uninstall/Change'.
  3. Click OK to save the changes.

Finally, fix each of your browsers with a help of these steps:

  1. Open Internet Explorer, go ‘Tools‘ -> ”Manage Add-ons’ -> ‘Toolbars and Extensions’ and uninstall Oople and other entries that are unknown for you.
  2. Click ''Tools' -> 'Manage addons' -> ‘Search Providers’ and choose the search engine you used before.
