Remove OSX.Lamzev.A. Description and removal instructions
OSX.Lamzev.A must be installed manually. In other words, it doesn’t infect Mac remotely; it is installed by someone who has physical access to the compromised computer. OSX.Lamzev.A allows hackers to choose already installed application and port number to reach the machine later. This creates a backdoor every time the application is launched. The trojan makes sure that the backdoor can be used all the time by adding the trojaned application to ~/Library/LaunchAgents. The compromised application must be restored to normal in order to delete Lamzev trojan. User also has to use clean backup to restore ~/Library/LaunchAgents to previous state.
