PC Defender 2010 is a rogue security program. This program is promoted through the use of malware and web sites that pretend to be online scanners. Those fake online scanners will state that your computer is infected and that you should download and install PCDefender2010 to secure your computer. The rogue program is also advertised through the use of malware that will display fake security alerts from the Windows taskbar. Once installed, PC Defender 2010 will be configured to start every time you log into Windows. Once running, it will perform a scan and then report numerous fake malware infections on your computer. Finally, it will prompt you to pay for a full version of the program to remove the infections which don't even exist. This is nothing more but a scam. Don't buy it and uninstall PC Defender 2010 from oyur computer upon detection.

While the program is running you will see a bunch of fake security alerts and screens stating that your computer is infected. One of these screens is one that impersonates the legitimate Windows Security Center. It looks exactly like the real one, but instead states that Windows recommends that you purchase PC Defender 2010 to protect your computer. You will also see alerts labeled Infiltration Alerts that state your computer is under attack.

It goes without saying that PC Defender 2010 is absolutely useless program. Don't purchase it. Instead, if you find this program on your computer please use the removal instructions below to remove it from the system as soon as possible.
