Pitin.c is a worm that spreads through network shares. It creates infected files using folder names and Windows Explorer icons in order to trick users into opening them. Once executed, the parasite secretly installs itself to the system and runs a payload. It modifies system settings and disables Registry Editor and Task Manager. Pitin.c also downloads from the Internet and executes other malicious files. It is able to update itself via the Internet. The worm secretly runs on every Windows startup.
