Remove RegistryDefender. Removal instructions
Also known as: Registry Defender
Severity scale: (80 / 100)
RegistryDefender is a new rogue registry cleaner - a corrupt registry error remover, which uses trojans, such as Zlob or Vundo, to enter the system. These trojans are typically found in porn/warez websites, disguised as codecs, which are supposedly necessary to view one file or another. Once inside and active, RegistryDefender will flood the user with popups and fake system notifications to "inform" him on the existence of errors in the Windows registry. While this information is false, it creates a reason for the user to buy a registry cleaner - more specifically, RegistryDefender.
RegistryDefender is a scam and should be treated as such: do NOT download or buy it and block registrydefender.com using your HOSTS file.
