Remove Remote Keylogger. Removal instructions
Severity scale: (65 / 100)
A Remote Administration Tool is a special kind of hacker spyware, used for remote access and control of other people's computers. The attacker infects the PC via the e-mail or File and Print Sharing. A "server" allows him to connect via a "client" on his own machine. The functions of a RAT may vary, depending on the needs of the hacker. Some RATs can't really harm your PC and the only purpose they were made for is hooliganism. But some versions can steal vital information, delete files and even crash your system. This dangerous RAT was designed to steal information by logging keystrokes. It logs all victims keystrokes in a log file and regularly sends it to the attacker. Several versions (Remote Keylogger (a), Remote Keylogger (b)) appeared in the internet in May 2000. The author is a hacker called Cryptic. He wrote this virus using Visual Basic programming language.
From the publisher:
"Record every keystroke in a computer and send it to you via email. The log-file includes the title of the application that typed in and the date and time while typing."
Remote Keylogger properties: • Allows remote user connection • Sends out logs by FTP or email • Logs keystrokes • Hides from the user • Stays resident in background
