RESpyWare is a misleading application, fake spyware removal tool from the WiniSoft family. It is an exact copy of REAnti, KeepCop, SecureKeeper and other rogue applications from this malware family. Basically, RESpyWare is a scareware that reports false scan results and displays fake security alerts just to make you think your computer is infected with Trojans, worms, spyware and other malicious software. The rogue application then asks to pay for a full version of the program to remove infections which do not even exist. RESpyWare is just another scam, do not purchase it and uninstall this malware from your computer as soon as possible.

Most of the time, RESpyWare has to be manually installed, but unfortunately it is being disguised as legitimate software, for example flash player update or a codec required for a certain online video preview. That’s why you shouldn’t install or download anything from suspicious websites, especially flash player updates. Instead, visit adobe.com for updates. Other widely used methods are social engineering and pop-ups from fake online anti-malware scanners.
Once installed, RESpyWare will simulate system scan and report various infections that can not be removed unless you purchase the program. However, the truth is that this malware detects harmless files as infections and what is more, those files were created by the RESpyWare itself. How rude! The only real infection is the rogue application and some Trojans that come with this malicious software. To make things even more complicated, RESpyWare will flood your computer with fake security alerts and notifications about serious security problems. You will see fake alerts or pop-up windows with the following titles: Spyware Alert!, Infiltration Alert!, or Security Center Alert!. It will impersonate Windows Security Center [Figure 2] too and state that you should activate RESpyWare to remove the reported infections and to ensure full system protection.

RESpyWare is nothing more but a scam. If you find that your computer is infected with this malware, please use the removal guide below and remove RESpyWare manually for free. Don’t forget to scan your PC with a legitimate anti-spyware application to make sure that there are no remains or additionally installed malware. If you have already purchased this rogue application, contact your credit card company as soon as possible and dispute the charges.
