Rootserv is a trojan that uses an integrated rootkit to hide all the processes, files and registry keys belonging to one of the Beagle worm variants. The parasite also hides all own objects. Rootserv terminates most antiviruses, firewalls, system tools and other security-related programs, and prevents them from running and being installed.

The trojan is usually installed by one of the Beagle worm variants.
