RST Antivirus 2010 is a rogue anti-spyware program that uses misleading methods to make users think that their computers are infected with spyware, adware, Trojans and other malware. The rogue program is distributed through the use of Trojans, fake online scanners and bogus online video websites. It can come bundled with other malware too. Once installed, RST Antivirus 2010 will simulate system scan and display a list of fake infections that supposedly can't be removed unless you first purchase the program. This fake program will also display numerous fake security warnings and will state that your sensitive information can be stolen. Of course, that's not true.
