This illegal advertising program belongs to the adware category. It is designed to receive and display relevant commercial advertisements in various pop-ups, web browser windows or toolbars. RVP can be secretly installed to the system while visiting some insecure web sites. It also may be distributed along with some ad-supported software. The threat alters system or browser configuration, so it could start on every Windows startup and secretly work in background. RVP violates user privacy and may decrease overall computer performance.
