SafeFighter is a misleading application that reports false system security threats on your computer to make you think you are infected with malware. The program is from the same family as Trust Cop, Secure Warrior, Secure Fighter and others. It enters a computer with the help of Trojans that display fake security notifications. Once installed, Safe Fighter will create many files with random names. These files will be then used in false scan results claiming that your computer is badly infected. Please note the only real infection is SafeFighter itself. It will prompt you to pay for a full version of the program which actually doesn't even exist to remove bogus security threats. We strongly recommend you to uninstall SafeFighter from your computer as soon as possible.

Furthermore, Safe Fighter will impersonate Windows Security Center and state that you should purchase the program to ensure full system protection against Internet viruses. As you might already know, the legitimate Security Center doesn’t ask people to purchase some sort of security software. It only states that your computer is either fully protected or not. That's basically the main difference. To make things worse, this infection will block anti-virus software and hijack web browsers. It is possible that certain Windows programs and tools won't work properly. For example, SafeFighter may disable Task Manager, Registry editor and system restore. It does this to protect itself from being deleted. As you can see, this program is just another fraud.
