SafetyKeeper is a misleading security application, rogue spyware remover that reports false system security threats and displays fake security alerts to trick you into buying the program. The misleading application is from the same family as SaveKeeper, SaveKeep, QuickHealCleaner, BlockDefense, SaveDefense and others. Once installed, it will allegedly detect various infections and ask you to purchase the program in order to remove computer threats which do not even exist. You should uninstall SafetyKeeper from the system as soon possible.

All rogue applications from Winisoft family are promoted through the use of Trojans, browser hijackers, fake online anti-spyware scanners and other malicious software. Trojans display fake security warnings to convince you that you are infected and should activate Safety Keeper to remove infections. Fake online anti-spyware scanners also state that your PC is in danger. Usually, these scanners impersonate Windows "My Computer" view and imitate system scan.

While running, SafetyKeeper will create files on your computer which will be later detected as serious security threats. These files are actually harmful. Furthermore, the rogue program will constantly display legitimately looking security alerts. It will also impersonate Windows Security Center and state that anti-virus software is disabled. As you can see, the main goal of this parasite is to push you into purchasing the program. That's why do not buy this program.
