SchutzTool is a rogue anti-spyware program aimed at the German-speaking public. It is no different than any other rogue scam. The most common way of infection is through trojans, such as Zlob or Vundo. When active, SchutzTool uses scare tactics, such as popups and fake system notifications to convince the user that his system is infected with spyware, so that he would buy the "licensed version" of the parasite.

This parasite will not only try to scam you, but will also significantly slow down your system. SchutzTool is utterly useless and annoying, therefore it should be removed upon detection. Block SchutzTool.com using your HOSTS file.
