Worm Sdboter (also known as Basbot) spreads through IRC channels and in local networks. Once executed, it installs itself to the system and modifies mIRC chat client's settings. Then it starts its spreading routine. It infects vulnerable computers with shared resources found in a network. It distributes infected files to IRC users via modified mIRC program. The worm contains a backdoor, which can be used by its author to control an infected computer remotely.
