i didn't see the registry entries mentioned. I set the pc to an earlier date and downloaded spyware but then system crashed and got into same state as previously when I ran a scan with the spy...doctor. I'm going to try the ctrl alt del thing, or load a ghost image from 3-4 weeks ago

If you restart the computer and relogin you can Crtl+Alt+Delete to get the task manager before the virus takes effect. to restart click the start button and then select shutdown and the click restart.

The quickest and easiest way to remove Security Tool is to Restart Computer and quickly press F8 and operate your computer in "Safe Mode". Once in safe mode, go to system restore and back date computer to the date before this piece of shit malware infected your system.

You should be able to find System Restore in safe mode just as you normally would when not in safe mode. I had it as a shortcut on my computer, so that I could access it quickly.

This program blocks the ability to get to the registry in order to delete it; as well it keeps you from deleting the program files because it's running and you can't get into task manager either because it blocks it from running. I had to reinstall windows all together.

I was able to utilize rkill and then combofix to remove this infestation. This program is able to take other filenames ie different numbers.
