Slogod worm brings various annoying issues. If you think pop-ups are the disturbing, apparently you haven’t met Slogod or other infection like that.

Slogod changes various system settings and prevent users from fixing things back to regular. It disables System Restore and Autoplay setting for drives. It prevents victim from using Command Prompt and messes up with local searches. Slogod also changes mouse settings to make it hardly operative. It removes “Recently opened documents” and “Documents” shortcuts from Start Menu. It deletes files from Recycle Bin and removes “File” menu from all the folders. Slogod may also change other settings and options on the compromised system. Slogod worm regularly opens *.txt file with French message which is a parody of “Our Father” prayer.

Slogod is also known as VBS/Slogod. It spreads by making copies of itself to every removable drive it can locate. If you notice Slogod activities on your machine, run security scan with no hesitation.
