SmartBrowser is an adware parasite that displays undesirable pop-up advertisements with mostly pornographic content. It redirects a web browser to pornographic Internet resources without asking for user permission. SmartBrowser also sends spam messages to random Yahoo! Chat users. The parasite is able to update itself via the Internet. It can get into the system while visiting some insecure adult web sites. SmartBrowser runs every time the user launches Internet Explorer.
