SmartFixer is a rogue anti-spyware program released on September 27, 2007. SmartFixer makes its way to users' computers via Trojans, such as Zlob and web-browser security holes, but can also be downloaded and installed manually. SmartFixer also hijacks the browser's homepage so it automatically redirects to SmartFixer's homepage. This program uses scare tactics (falsified scan reports, fake system notifications etc.) to make users buy the full version.

Do not download or buy SmartFixer and block its domain using your HOSTS file.
