SmartPops is a relatively simple adware program that displays relevant commercial advertisements and pop-ups. It has the ability to update itself via the Internet. SmartPops must be manually installed. The program runs every time the user starts Internet Explorer.

• Connects itself to the internet
• Hides from the user
• Stays resident in background
