SoftBarrier is another misleading application from the WiniSoft family. It uses false scan results, browser hijacking and fake security alerts to convince you that your computer is infected with malware. When installed, this rogue application will create many harmless random named files on your computer. Those files will be later detected as serious infections and system security threats. Soft Barrier will prompt you to pay for a full version of the program to remove the threats which do not even exist. To make this scam more effective, the rogue program will constantly display fake security alerts stating that your PC is under attack or badly infected with Trojans that may collect your private data and personal information. That's not true. Do not trust this program and uninstall SoftBarrier from the system as soon as possible.

While running, SoftBarrier will make some unwanted changes, for example it will block Task Manager, Registry Editor and System Restore functions. It will hijack your web browser and redirect you to various malicious websites that promotes rogue applications or displays many advertisements. Please note, that removal delay will only worsen the situation, because Soft Barrier may install even more malware on your PC. Your computer may become unstable and reboot like every two or five minutes.
