Soft Veteran is promoted through the use of Trojans and other malware. Some people think that this type of software must be manually installed. Well, not necessarily. This infection may be downloaded and installed secretly without your knowledge. But usually, this parasite is pushed via fake online anti-malware or similar scanners. SoftVeteran has it's home page, but is not dangerous. It's the same template used to promote rest of the rogue program from the WiniSoft family.
SoftVeteran home page snapshot:
When running, the rogue program will constantly display fake security alerts and notifications to scare you into thinking that your PC is infected or under attack. It will block antivirus programs and certain Windows OS system tools such as Task Manager and Registry Editor. You may not be able to restore you system to last known good configuration. SoftVeteran will also modify Windows Hosts file and redirect web browser to various misleading websites that promotes other malware.
