Spamlia is a trojan designed to send out excessive amount of e-mail spam. Once executed, the parasite silently installs itself to the system, gathers e-mail addresses from the Windows Address Book and obtains certain mail server settings. Then it sends unsolicited e-mail messages to all collected addresses. Most letters are written in Italian. Spamlia doesn't carry any destructive payload. However, its activity may severely degrade Internet connection throughput and affect mail server performance.
