Worm Spex spreads via file-sharing networks. Once executed, it installs itself to the system and places infected files in shared folders of peer-to-peer clients. Some versions of the worm can terminate antivirus and security-related programs processes and steal the license information of several computer games. The worm may contain a backdoor, which can be used by attackers to control an infected system remotely.
