StartPage.c trojan works just like its previous variants StartPage and StartPage.b. StartPage.c (a.k.a. Trojan.StartPage.c) hijacks web browser and keeps redirecting users to okww.net. The website is a malicious one: it may install additional malwares on user’s computer.

According to security reports, Trojan.StartPage.c is only capable of affecting Internet Explorer so far. StartPage.c is very annoying infection because it prevents people from visiting all the websites except for okww.net. Hijacking IE is not the only one function of this trojan. It also uses much operating memory and makes it difficult to use the compromised machine. StartPage.c may avoid some of the most widespread anti-spyware programs.
