Stinx, also known as Brepibot, is a backdoor that gives the remote attacker full unauthorized access to a compromised computer. The parasite is controlled via the IRC network. It allows the intruder to delete, create, execute, download and upload files or differently manipulate them. Stinx can be distributed by e-mail. It may arrive as an executable file attached to a message with the subject "Photo Approval Needed". Stinx is able to bypass Windows Firewall. The backdoor automatically runs on every Windows startup.

• Allows remote user connection
• Connects itself to the internet
• Hides from the user
• Stays resident in background

Delete files:
csmsv.exe, cstsm.exe, svcmfte32.exe, photo + article.exe
Misc:
The photo + article.exe file arrives attached to e-mail messages.

All Stinx files are located in default system directory, which is one of the following: C:\Windows\System, C:\Windows\System32, C:\Winnt\System32.

The parasite does not install all listed files and registry entries, but, depending on its version, creates only few of them.
