When I got this virus, I restored system back to previous day. Then, it stopped. Then, I searched application by using search and I can delete application. If you have window XP, you may delete it like this way.

i tried system restore and it didn't help. System security keep saying the file there is infected,does anyone please know how i can get this off my laptop,its killing me

I bought Spyware doctor from this site did not remove the Systen security virus. Now I can not even open any of my applications such as AOL world of warcraft

rename as explorer
run
terminate the virus
delete the virus

Google an app called combofix....It looks kind of funny, but read up on it... No joke it removed system security and other pesky spyware in less than 10 minutes.

It won't let me bring up taskmgr or regedit!! what do I do - I have tried to download software and run does not work either!!!!!!

1)Push ctrl-alt-del and stop sys security
2)Click on her icon by right button and find the source of it ( For Expl: C:Documents and SettingsAll UsersApplication Data17245464 - sys secur on my comp)
3) delate it
If you dont want to delate go to msconfig and turn it off.

What if when you use these programs to scan your computer, the program scan program just closes? Also, when I'm not in safe mode System Security won't let me open any applications or Task Manager.

this was the most helpful advice I got from all of the stuff listed - genius!
copy c:/windows/system32/taskmgr to desktop
rename as explorer
run
terminate the virus
delete the virus
now able to run defender etc to clean up anything else untoward
