Tellsky is a worm that spreads by copying itself to local disks and mapped network drives. It is also able to infect removable drives like USB keys and similar removable media. Once executed, the parasite displays fake warning message and installs itself to the system. Then it runs a spreading routine and a payload. Tellsky disables the Task Manager, the Registry Editor and the Command Prompt. It also downloads and executes malicious files from the Internet. Tellsky modifies Windows registry and runs on every Windows startup. Tellsky is very dangerous on its own but malware installed by this worm can do much more damage. The infections brought on board by Tellsky may steal personal information and corrupt system files.
