ThinkSmart is a rogue anti-spyware program from the same family as ThinkPoint. This rogue program comes from fake online scanners, infected websites or bundled with other malware. Once installed, it will pretend to scan your computer for viruses. After the fake scan it will claim that your computer is infected with Unknown Win32/Trojan and Trojan.Horse.Win32.PAV.64.a. Then it will prompt you restart your computer in order to start the system in safe mode and remove found malware from the computer. After a restart, ThinkSmart screen will show up instead of Windows Explorer. It will hide all your Desktop icons and taskbar. Then ThinkSmart will pretend to scan your computer for malware again but this time it will state that you have to pay for a full version of the program to remove the infections. Please, don’t purchase it. ThinkSmart is nothing more but a scam. If you find that your computer is infected with this rogue program then please follow the ThinkSmart removal instructions below.
