Trace Sweeper is a new rogue security program - a fake application, which is supposed to remove traces of online activity from the system. This parasite uses trojans, such as the infamous Zlob or Vundo, to enter the system - much like any other rogue. Trace Sweeper relies on misleading advertising (popups, fake system notifications, falsified system sca reports) to convince the user he is infected and therefore in need of Trace Sweeper's "licensed version".

Trace Sweeper's website shows the nature of the scam quite well: there is no useful info, no reliable contact info and no legitimate payment system.

Trace Sweeper is a scam and should be treated as such: do NOT download or buy it and block it's homepage using your HOSTS file.
