Severity scale: (42 / 100)
Trilissa appears to be a simple Internet worm, which spreads across the Internet by e-mail. It comes as an infected attachment to a letter. Once executed, it places its files on a hard disk and starts to distribute itself to other users using Microsoft Outlook mail program and mIRC chat client. It also can delete several system files. Some versions of the worm have mistakes in the code and aren't able to attach infected files to outgoing messages.
