A simple and effective trojan keylogger. It secretly installs in your system, logs all keystrokes and sends them to the hacker. That way he can grab all your passwords and other valuable info. This version reports information about user's hard drives and operating system version. This keylogger was modified several times, so new variants from January, 2004 to August, 2004 appeared. It also has the ability to autoupdate itself.

TrojanSpy.Win32.Briss may in some cases not be an actual threat. It is a fabricated threat used by the corrupt anti-spyware SpyGuarder 2.1 in fake system notifications, so it could better persuade the user he is infected and therefore needs to purchase it's "licensed version". The message displayed looks as follows:
