TrustWarrior. How to remove? (Uninstall guide)

removal by Jake Doevan - -   Also known as Trust Warrior | Type: Rogue Antispyware

TrustWarrior is yet another misleading security application from the same family as SoftSafeness, SaveKeeper, BlockDefense, WiniBlueSoft. Once installed, the application will report false system security threats to make you think your computer is infected. It will display fake security alerts and notifications. Do not purchase this bogus software and uninstall TrustWarrior from the system immediately.

TrustWarrior is installed through the use of Trojan-Downloader which drops the setup file and a trojan fake alert on your computer. What is more, the trojan will install a Rootkit on your PC. The following files will be added: dump_atapi.sys and dump_WMILIB.SYS. The rogue program may be also promoted via fake online anti-spyware scanners and other malicious software. When running, TrustWarrior will impersonate Windows Security Center and claim that your anti-virus software is disabled. It will also display fake security alerts. An example of the fake security notification:

“Spyware Alert!
Your computer is infected with spyware. It could damage your critical files or expose your private data on the Internet. Click here to register your copy of TrustWarrior and remove spyware threats from your PC.”

Furthermore, Trust Warrior will block antivirus software and security websites to protect itself from being deleted. It will slow down your computer and hijack web browsers. As you can see, the main goal of this program is to scare you into purchasing it. However, this is nothing more but a scam. Do not pay for this totally useless program. Instead, please use the removal guide below to remove TrustWarrior from your computer manually for free. We also recommend you to scan your PC with reliable anti-spyware application because the rogue program can install additional malware.
