What is VaultCrypt?

VaultCrypt is a dangerous ransomware, which was released in the middle of March, 2015. This program can hardly be called malicious. In reality, it’s a NASTY piece of malware, which is capable of causing lots of problems for its victim. In most of the cases, it infiltrates computer behind the back of its owner. After doing so, it checks the system for specific files and encrypts them. So, this program can easily leave you without your photos, music files and other important documents. In addition, it has laso been announced that ransomwares have started encrypting game-related files, such as Call of Duty, Star Craft 2, Diablo, etc. What should be done for getting ability to reach these files again? As you may have already understood, the files can be decrypted only by paying a ransom, which can reach $1,000 if you decide to pay it via PayPal My Cash Cards. Nevertheless, if you decide to pay this ransom in bitcoins, you will be asked to pay 1.5 bitcoin, which is worth about $430. No matter how strange this sounds, we highly recommend you to avoid making this payment because that’s how hackers get ability to continue developing their ransomware and other cyber threats. AT the moment of writing, security experts have presented several tools that can be used for decrypting encrypted files, so you should try using R-Studio or Photorec. Beware that before using these programs, you should remove VaultCrypt virus from your computer. For that we highly recommend using Reimage that can easily help you to get rid of malicious files and other components that belong to this cyber threat.

How can VaultCrypt infect my computer?

Scammers have already released almost ten different ransomwares that are capable of encrypting people’s files. That’s Teslacrypt virus, Cryptowall virus, Cryptolocker, BitCrypt, Critroni, Cryptorbit, CryptoFortress and other threats that can easily infiltrate computer without being noticed. If you want to avoid that, you have to make sure that your computer is protected as it should be. Please, double check what anti-virus and anti-spyware is installed on your computer. If you don’t have any of these programs, please install them. In addition, keep in mind that you have to use only the latest versions, so make sure that your anti-virus and anti-spyware is up-to-date. Finally, we have to admit that safe browsing is also important when trying to avoid VaultCrypt ransomware, so make sure you stay away from illegal and suspicious websites. In addition, you should ignore pop-up ads that may interrupt you while you are browsing on the web. Finally, do NOT click suspicious links because they may infect your system with this or similar cyber threat. If you think that VaultCrypt is already hiding in your computer (you can’t open your important files, you see a warning message that is asking you to pay a fine, your computer is slower than it was, etc.), you should waste no time and use a guide that is given below.
