VIPAntiSpyware, which is, according to its website, "an incredible protection for your computer, is just another scam from the ever-present rogue anti-spyware industry. Essentially, it is a fake program designed to steal at least $50 from your pocket.

The usual methods of VIPAntiSpyware infection are via trojans such as Vundo and Zlob, and web browser security holes that are present in most common web browsers.

VIPAntiSpyware can also be manually downloaded and installed if the user is gullible enough to download it. It uses falsified scan results to intimidate you into buying its fake "full" version. The payment system which processes VIPAntiSpyware payments is not legitimate and may use your credit card information for carding. It is a malicious program and should not be downloaded or bought, and you should block vipantispyware.com using your HOSTS file.
