Virus Alarm is a rogue anti-spyware application. Likely, it's just a rename of such a malicious applications as Virus Doctor and Virus Melt. Virus Alarm is usually promoted through misleading banners and pop-up windows. These banners pretend to be free online scanners, suggesting to perform system scan. Generally, fake online anti-spyware scanner reports that user's PC is infected and suggests to download Virus Alarm if user wishes to remove those infections.

Once installed and active, VirusAlarm uses well known malicious tactics. Mainly, it performs fake system scan and then reports bogus results, usually about various infections, such as spyware or malware. The rogue also states that user's PC might be in great danger, because system security has been compromised. Eventually, user is advertised to purchase a full of Virus Alarm, because unregistered version is unable to ensure complete infections removal and overall PC protection. But the truth is that Virus Alarm it totally worthless. The main goal of this parasite is to collect money from naive users. So, remove this useless and even dangerous application instead of buying it.
