VirusBlast is malware that displays an icon in the system tray. This icon shows a message, which says that the compromised computer is infected with dangerous spyware and malware and asks the user to download and install a removal program, which actually is VirusBlast, corrupt illegally distributed spyware remover. Once the user clicks on that message, the parasite opens a web site distributing VirusBlast. It may also try to download the application. VirusBlast is able to change the Internet Explorer default home page, hijack the desktop and redirect the web browser to malicious web sites. The corrupt anti-spyware program itself causes Internet Explorer to delay opening. It may also noticeably degrade overall system performance and stability. VirusBlast automatically runs on every Windows startup.
