Wayphisher is a trojan designed for phishing purposes and theft of user sensitive information. It tricks the user by redirecting a web browser from financial web sites to predefined malicious Internet resources with very similar look. Wayphisher creates files, modifies the Windows registry and adds addresses of phishing sites into the system Hosts file. This prevents the user from accessing legitimate banking sites.

Misc:
Wayphisher files can be found in C:\Windows\System\dllcache, C:\Windows\System32\dllcache or C:\Winnt\System32\dllcache folder.

Edit the Hosts file and remove all lines except for 127.0.0.1 localhost. The Hosts file can be found in C:\Windows, C:\Winnt\System32\Drivers\etc or C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc directory.
