WeatherBug is an ad-supported program that shows weather forecasts and provides other similar information. It also displays commercial advertisements. WeatherBug is not an actual parasite, purchasing the full version disables its adware functionality. The program must be manually installed. It also can be bundled with other ad-supported products. WeatherBugs runs on every Windows startup. It comes with the functional uninstaller.

i cant get rid of weatherbug no matter what i do. i tried the add/remove program thing, and it starts to uninstall but then an error message comes up. so i re-installed it and tried again, and it still doesn't work. anyone have the same problem?

I went through the removal instructions and the program listing dissapered but every time I boot up the weather bug icon loads into the system tray. I can find nothing about effectively removing it from the system tray.

I accidently checked the weatherbug option when i downlaoded AIM and i can't get rid of it thru 'remove programs' b/c its not evern there and i even deleted the folder it made yet it still remains in my system tray. grrr.

Go to C:Documents and Settings[username]Local SettingsTemp

Ctrl +A > Shift, Delete. The Mini Weatherbug program is stored there.

I figured out how to remove it!
Ok, go to C:/Program FIles/AWS/Weatherbug you'll see an application that says "remove" double click it and it removes weatherbug!

WeatherBug Jay

WeatherBug is removed like any other program- by exiting the program first (if you have an older version, the new version can still be running and uninstalled) and then going to add/remove programs and clicking WeatherBug. Note that after you click the 2 uninstall screens there is an OPTIONAL survey- if you have a pop-up blocker or certain firewalls, it may prevent the survey from opening. But by the time you get to the survey the program is removed. Close add/remove program window and reopen and it will be gone- my team and I test it every single day on multiple machines- dial up, broadband, etc.

having security issues. mircosoft advised me to remove several program (including weatherbug).
When I run Uninstall on Windows XP, after 2 Uninstall screens I get an error message..."cannot open install.log file. HELP. would like to resolve my security issues quickly.

as soon as i downlaoded weatherbug to my computer, i signed out of my aol account, and the next day i could sign on but i cannot search. it says i have low memory or something about my hard space drive. i checked everything. its nothing, except that dang weatherbug

My weatherbug wasn't that bad. First i went to task manager and saw no weatherbug to kill process. Then I went to add or remove programs and deleted it and it was gone like that. I then clicked start and search and typed the word weatherbug and deleted them. Finally I went to start, Run, and typed msconfig and then I clicked start up and unchecked weatherbug and restarted my computer.

weatherbug sits in your mozilla firefox add-ons.
you will need to go into that which is
tools --> addons -->extensions
it can be un-installed from there.

Weather bug is on my computer and I still can not get rid of this monster even though Iam doing what the suggestions say, why would someone do this to my computer ive never done anything to this company that created it. please if some one has more advice It would be much appreciated? Thx
